I descaled the unit once after first 2 months use - no problem - Keurig performed perfectly. Light indicated descaling required again after second two month period - so I followed exact Keurig descaling procedure again. This time - pump won't prime - it starts to heat but stops immediately (within 2 seconds) - no water reaches heating tank - therefore no blue light ever appears - and we cannot brew coffee. Someone suggested we force water into heating tank with a "turkey baster" - we attempted 4-5 times - no benefit - now stuck with a beautiful-looking machine that won't make coffee. Please help!

I use my Keurig every day. It is so easy and warms up in less then 30 seconds. My family drinks coffee as well and it gives us each our own option since I like flavored coffee and my husband doesn't. I have not found anything I do not like about it and I have used it daily for 2 months. Never will I go back to a full coffee pot of any sort or coffee at McDonalds. This is the BEST!

I originally got this machine two years ago for my birthday. The store was having a 1/2 off sale so I got one for home and one for my office. I was totally sold on it after the first use. The convenience and taste is great. We use it for coffee, tea and hot chocolate. I love that I can try a different flavor of coffee with each cup. It's fun to experiment with the different flavors of coffee and tea too. My daughter is heading to college in the fall and I'm getting one for her dorm room. It's so much nicer than a conventional coffee maker. My only dissappointment was that I did have two units go bad before a year was up. However, Keurig was great and replaced both units without a fuss. Although it is somewhat noisy, the noise doesn't last long. I wouldn't live without one now!
This genius machine is the best thing since sliced bread. We are not big coffee people, but the hot cocoa that the roaster makes is UNBElIEVABLE! We drink it every morning. It is so convient to just pull down the lever, and your drink is ready when you are. Wonderful size makes it easy to fit in kitchens without getting in the way. It accommodates all mug sizes (atleast the ones in our house) The setting to choose whether you would like a "large" or "small" is absolutely genius. My children used to always leave some in their cup that would go to waste. Now they have the perfect portion! I just love this. We love it so much, when we go on road trips--we hook it up to our car! Wonderful, and more wonderful!

This machine after 8 reservoirs of water still has a rubber burnt taste in the brewed coffee,I called Keurig costomer service and would not help, I explained to them that after 348 oz of use the coffee or just plain hot water had a burnt rubber taste,also small black pieces of plastic was in my cup. The machine had a burning smell coming from it.I wasted 32 K-cups, had to dump all the coffee this machine brewed..I will return this defective machine from the retailer i purchased it from...
This is the best coffee maker I've ever owned! I love it! Every time I have house guests, my guests love the coffee maker. Two out the last three house guests have bought one (one bought theirs the day they returned home!), and the third guest plans to buy one for their office.
The coffee maker does seem a little loud when you are standing next to it, but it has never woken up anyone in the house.
It is so simple to make coffee - no matter how sleepy you are when you're making it. No more spilling coffee grounds! The Green Mountain Coffees are wonderful - I think the Extra Bold is better for most coffee drinkers, and the regular coffees better for those who like their coffee a little weaker.
The B-40 doesn't give you the option for different sizes of coffee, but for me the 6 oz cup is the perfect size for the right strength cup of coffee.

My husband and I went to Green Mountain factory while visiting in Vermont to buy the B40 only to find out that it wasn't being sold to the general public until 2 days AFTER we were leaving! I was so bummed but when we got home, my husband surprised me with my very own Keurig machine!!! My in-laws thought it was going to be something that I used for a week and then put away like my panini maker! It's been nearly three years and I used it at least twice a day (not including the 1 or 2 times I use the one at work!). I love my Keurig and YES!! We do take it on vacation, too!! I've also bought 3 others for my family for Christmas!

I agree w/ the coffee drinker below (his suggestion AND love for the Keurig brewer!), and that has crossed my mind, too. Is it possible to make your same delicious coffee in a biodegradable K-cup? I hope you'll look into it. Thanks!

I have had my Keurig for 3 yrs and I think it is a better invention than sliced bread. My husband had a Keurig machine at his job many yrs ago and raved about how good the coffee was and how great it was to have such a variety of Green Moutain coffees at your finger tips. Once Green Mountain began offering the Keurig for home use through their catalog- it went to the top of our wish list and we received our Keurig for Christmas of 2004. Since enjoying mine and spreading the good word of Keurig and Green Mountain coffee, I am personally responsible for turning on at least 5 relatives to the great coffee experience that is The K-Cup machine! I can not find any cons to this machine, although one does come to mind recently. I wonder if there is a way to make the K-Cup more "green," that is making the actual K-Cup biodegradable or something along those lines. I do use the "My K-Cup" filter from time to time, but with the empahsis on reducing our carbon footprint on the earth, I have felt some guilt when I discard the used K-Cups. Otherwise, I am not joking when I say, that Keurig and Green Mountain have changed my coffee world and I am loving it!!!!

It is a great time saver and makes a great cup of coffee. But I live in a condo and the noise is to loud. I put a mouse pad under but it still vibrates the counter. I am still looking at the cost. It may not be worth the extra cost!
I was worried this would be a more costly way to have my morning coffee...but now that I drink every last drop (because each cup comes out perfect) and don't put half a pot of coffee down the drain this is actually more economical! Plus each person in the family likes different flavors and roasts...everyone gets what they want! When I have company over we all feel like we are in a coffee shop

Never bored with my coffee,plenty of differant flavors at your finger tips.
This coffeemaker is the most wonderful gift I have ever received. It was getting so frustrating always throwing out leftover coffee in the pot. At least half of the coffee I made was tossed out. Now I can have coffee when and where I want it. The only thing I would change is the noise it makes while heating and brewing. Thank you for a marvelous product.

We've had ours for a year now & still use it daily. Coffee still tastes as good as the first day. Since I've owned coffee makers that grind coffee(those are annoying)the noise doesn't bother me all that much & it doesn't last that long. How many people bring their coffee makers on vacation? I have, what can I say I'm spoiled! Best coffee maker I have ever had hands down.
The B40 makes too much noise for people who want to have an early morning cup of coffee and not wake up the rest of the house. We love the convenience of it, but we are very disappointed with how loud it is.

Works fast, great for first thing in the morning running late. Now down to the 4 kinds I just love. Its funny to watch my friends take longer to pick what kind they want then the times it takes to brew. Con is cheaper to buy coffee on other sites.

I saw this product at the Boston Home Show and bought it. It makes a wonderful cup of coffee.
The only con is that it is noisy when the pump is working.
it is very easy to use and clean. So far I love it.
This machine is simply amazing. Every coffee variety I have brewed with this thing is perfection in a cup. I even use this machine to make hot water for instant soups. I will never go back to any other style of coffee maker.

Love the versatility. We drink coffee,tea and hot cocoa in our family. My husband hates flavored coffees, I love them!.
Can't wait to have friends over and give them a laundry list of hot beverages to choose from, thanks to my Keurig!
I do wish some of the cups had more coffee in them. I have to buy the bold blends to get the strength I like, I find some of the blends weak and thin.

Love it! It is loud, but only for a second or two. Only a bad thing if you have really thin walls or really grouchy roomies ;)!

I purchased this machine about eight months ago. When it arrived I couldn't wait to get it out of the box and brew a single cup of coffee. Given the fact that the machine came with a K-cup variety pack, I brewed the fist K-cup I pulled out. What a delight it was to not only enjoy the best cup of coffee I had ever had, but to show it off to everyone. I even went out and purchased a Keurig B-40 machine (about 8 machines total) for evryone in my family. I am a hero and an extremely satisfied coffee lover. Thanks again Keurig!

I love the fact that I dont have to "fix" the coffee pot for the morning.. also, that there is NO waste... I've become spoiled to "good" coffee and it is a shame to waste any, which happens often when on the run in the a.m... I wish this pot and coffee was everywhere that way I wouldn't have to worry about the rest of the day "coffee-less" Thank you I am one happy customer..

I like using the filter baskets and adding my own coffee or loose tea.
Each night I have a cup...No mess...
the only downfall is wanting to drink too much coffee because of the ease and speed of making coffee and cocoa. Very hot and fresh and practically no cleanup. No filters, no grounds just fresh coffee every time. Luv Luv Luv it.

I have tried about every coffee maker there is.And I can stop looking This is the best machine, makes the best coffee.And is so eazy to use.I can not say enough about it.
I cannot say enough good things about this - first, it is EXACTLY as described; no surprises and no disappointment. I unpacked this and brewed a great cup of coffee. Then another. Then another. Took it to the office and absolutely love the convenience and the ease and the great coffee. I do find the "regular" brews a bit weaker than I normally drink, but really good nonetheless. The Dark Magic is terrific.

My work just got this and we have customer who love it. I fell in love with this since you can have coffee (any flavor) or tea or decaf coffee. I love how the coffee is hot and it has different cup sizes. I can't wait til the hoilday to tell my boyfriend to get me one.

This is the Best sytem ever. My wife and I both love coffee, but we do not always feel like drinking the same flavors or types. The Keurig system is the perfect solution to that. My son also loves the hot chocolate.

I wanted a single cup brewer for my classroom ... fast, dependable, easy to use. And I got it in the Elite B40! I don't drink a lot of coffee but I have a cup or two every day and this is the ticket! The coffee is hot and perfect - every cup. News spread fast and now other teachers are "visiting" my classroom, coffee mugs in hand. I especially like the fact that I can choose from two cup sizes and that the brewer will turn off automatically if I forget to do it - that's a great safety feature. This sure beats begging a cup of coffee from a pot that's been sitting for hours! And if I want tea or hot chocolate, I can use the Elite B40 for those drinks, too. Bottom line: this was a great purchase and I couldn't be happier.

The brewer was a gift from my daughter. She was very impressed with hers and thought I needed one. I love my brewer and have recommended it to many of my friends and folk that come into my office. I carry the catalog to show everyone. Too bad, I can't carry the brewer! I am single and it works for me. My dogs even sneek coffee now.

This is the best coffee pot I have ever owned. I like being able to try different K-cups. I like having a different cup of coffee from one time to the next. We never have to have stale coffee again. I am very pleased ith my coffee pot.

The K Cup is a great idea but you can't recycle the cups (I tried and taking them apart to separate the parts was too much of a hassle). I use it on the yacht I captain. It's clean and easy to use. No mess even when at sea.

I LOVE this machine, I can have just one single cup whenever I feel like it---no hassel. Extremely efficient and easy to keep clean. And I do not like plain coffee and this offers so many lucious flavors it is the perfect coffee machine for me, when I have visitors they love the ability to be able to choose their own flavor or flavors and quanity of coffee they want. I am thinking of getting my parents one for Christmas, they like one cup at a time in the afternoon and I know my mom would love the ease of the teas!

I cannot tell enough people about this AWESOME coffee pot. We had a party the other day and we were serving coffee/tea to everybody and there was no clean up of those annoying urns, everybody got to choose their own flavor/type of beverage. I just cannot say enough!! I could go on and on about the luxuries of the keurig pot as compared to a typical coffee pot.

Very enjoyable! I'm the only person who drinks coffee in my house, so I find it very convenient and I love the variety and convenience when I have company. I thought I'd use my reg.coffee maker when company came but I found it was great because one wanted tea, another decaf, another flavored coffee and another bold. Great!I accommodated everybody!

I first used this at my sister-in-laws house and loved the convience of it. I asked for this for mothers day and I got it!! I wanted the perfect cup of coffee and I have it everyday, anytime! My kids love it to, they make their own hot chocolate all by themsleves!!! It is well worth the money! Perfect coffee anytime....what else can I say!

This is the single best invention for those coffee drinkers who want to change up the variety and choices of coffees that they may drink in a day. I love to start off with the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend in the morning and then change it up to a flavored variety for a mid-morning cup. By the afternoon I will take a Bold or Dark roast to wake me up and then enjoy a Decaf or another flavor for my night-time delight. I am impressed by the quick time it takes to heat the water and the pefection that the K-cups bring to each cup. I have no problems and have even figured out the energy saver method to keep from costing myself extra after I brew a cup.

I was loading up 3 kids everyday to drive to Dunkin donuts for my dailey fix. I bought this in January and have never looked back. This is by far the best tasting coffee I have ever had. I love the variety of coffee & teas. I can't say enough good things about this maker. I converted my husband from Dunkinism to Keurig---he feels the same as I do!

I deliver windows for a living, yes I am a trucker, and if there is anyone who knows coffee it's us. I have a customer in Houston,TX that has one of these and I couldn't believe the taste after my first cup. After that, this is all I could talk about to everyone. So to my surprise, OK, I knew what it was, there it was under the tree!!!

I had gotten over my caffiene addiction until a friend bought one of these. After using hers, I went out and bought one and use it at least 3 times per day. My husband uses it for hot chocolate and tea and, even though we don't have any herbal tea K-cups (yet), you can still heat up the water with your brewer and drop a tea bag in.
Some of the coffees are a little weak for my taste (granted, I like coffee that the spoon can stand straight up in), so, if you like strong coffee, I'd avoid the Nantucket Blend (no idea why that one seems so weak to me). Otherwise, all the ones I've tried are fabulous!

I bought this for our little office of about 10 people. This basic machine is still going strong after over a year. Plus, there isn't one person who didn't get one to have at home. Convenient, delicious, and fresh every time. I have never purchased anything and been more satisfied than I am with this coffee-maker. Trying all the different coffees has improved our office morale.(Also, no more running to the coffee stand increases our productivity.... After all I am the boss!!)

I received mine as a gift from a person who had 2, and took it to school, now I need to get another for home!!! This makes a great cup of coffee, and I found that by running it twice with the same k-cup you get a larger cup without really diluting the flavor.
I am going to get the big version for home!!!!

I received this as a gift and it's the best gift ever. I love coffee and my old drip machine would burn the coffee after 30 minutes. Now with my new machine I brew one cup at a time with no waste.

This is the best coffee maker I've ever used! It makes delicious brews everytime. There is not one flavor variety that I don't like. I drink more coffee now than ever because the coffee is so good, the machine is so easy to use, and there is no clean up. PS: My husband loves it too.

After My Old A modle A Ford Coffee Maker This Is A Corvette Fresh Coffee Or Tea as you Like It When You Want it. Like They Say If Your Going To Be A Dog Be A Big Dog, Or Buy One Of The Others And Stay On The Poarch With The Pups.....
I was in Vermont July 2006 for my daughter's wedding, while staying at a Motel I had my first experience with Green Mountain coffee. I needed to have a single coffee maker of my own, but living in BC Canada I wasn't sure if I could get one, so my daughter(Mass.) researched it and sent me one for Christmas, now I can share this experience with all my firends at my own home.
