What's a CVC code? Why am I being asked for it at Checkout?

A CVC code, or "Card Verification Code" is a new method of credit card protection both for consumers, and online merchants. It's a three-digit code that's printed (but not embossed) on the back of your VISA, Discover or MasterCard, or a four-digit code printed on the face of your American Express.

What's a keycode? Where can I get one?
Answer

Shoppers sometimes receive discounts or special offers in the form of a key code. Key codes are not required, but if you have one you'll want to use it; it can save you money! You may receive a key code in the mail, or with our print catalog, or through our email newsletter. If you receive our print catalog, you'll find your key code (the letters and numbers within the yellow box) on the back of your catalog. This yellow box is near your name and address.

You may enter a keycode in the Shopping Cart, or when you fill out your billing information during Checkout. Click the Apply button to see the discount applied to your order.

Unfortunately, key codes cannot be combined at this time.

My order didn't process, why is there a charge on my account?

When you pay by credit or debit card, GMCR applies a pre-authorizing hold on your account for the order total. We charge your card when your order ships.

How do I pay for my online order?
Answer

Credit Cards
We accept the following credit cards online: American Express, MasterCard, VISA and Discover. To pay by credit card, simply enter your card information on the Billing page during Checkout, before you complete your order. If you'd prefer to not enter your credit card information online, you may call our Customer Care Center at 888-879-4627 any time, 24 hours a day, and we'll be happy to complete your order over the phone.

Debit Cards
When you make a debit card purchase, your bank immediately places a hold on your account for that amount. When your merchandise ships, GreenMountainCoffee.com charges your account and the actual withdrawal takes place. If there is a delay in fulfilling your order, we will again request authorization from your bank to verify that funds are still available.
For your security, please do not email us your credit card information.

Café EXPRESS Orders
When you pay with a credit or debit card, a pre-authorization hold is placed on your account three to five days prior to the release of each Café EXPRESS recurring shipment. When your merchandise ships, GreenMountainCoffee.com charges your account and the actual withdrawal takes place.

Can I print a reciept of my transaction?
Answer

Yes! We encourage you to print the receipt page that you'll see upon completing your order. Additionally, we will email an order confirmation; then later, when your package ships, we'll email you a shipping confirmation. You may choose whether you'd like to receive these as text-only messages, or HTML.

Why am I being charged sales tax?
