Coffee is amazing. It's no mere beverage. And we believe this just as passionately today as we did in 1859 when we brought our gourmet coffee to market. We take coffee personally. We care about our craft. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

My dad loves this coffee for the mornings. I like flavored coffee better, but if this was all that was around then I wouldn't mind it at all. Very good flavor and it's perfect when a little sweetener is added

NOT as described
from North Carolina
This is not the same coffee I am used to in the bag! It is extremely bitter and strong! There were no sweet, fruity undertones at all.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Best cup of coffee ever!
from Middletown, NY
Still the best cup of coffee. My Mom used to get 8 O'clock from the A & P! My husband and I start each day with a cup of this old fashioned "homey" coffee!
from Levittown, PA
Coffee is outstanding and prices are excellent along with free shipping. Set up to receive monthly. Very easy to order and excellent customer service.

Did I find a replacement but cheaper?
By Marion the mail lady
from Queens NY
I am a big coffee drinker of a well known franchise coffee house but recently bought Nantucket on sale and while visiting relatives,I tried the 8 o'clock coffee and between these two I believe will replace the Kcup coffee I used to drink. Since now I found a replacement I have to figure out what is cheaper for me and my husband.Once I do, I will let you know.

Not the same old Eight O'Clock AND......

As one can tell but the reviews of those who grew up with this coffee, it is not the same, nor has it been in many years. My grandparents drank this religiously, so this is what I grew up with and it is certainly not the same. Also, it is obvious that the strength varies by batch when you have people who love a strong coffee saying this is "too strong" and others who love a strong coffee saying that it's "too weak".I've had some that were ridiculously bitter and others that seemed to be more like food coloring for the water than actual coffee. Not sure what the issue is, but I cannot recommend it.
Bit too strong
from Johnstown, PA
I like rather strong coffee, but this one is a bit too strong for me. I'd place this one under the category 'Bold.' It was also a bit bitter and didn't have a well-balanced flavor. I also didn't taste the sweet and fruity flavor it was supposed to have.
Not the Eight O'Clock of my youth
By Skook Coffee Drinker
from Pottsville, PA
Our family drank only Eight O'clock, ground at the A&P in our town until it closed in the mid 70's. I was happy when it became available in other markets in the early 80's and I continued to enjoy it until about 5 years ago when the taste really dropped off. First I thought it was just a bad bag, then another, then why bother. The K cup taste is an improvement over the recent years, but there are many better tasting coffees available. Taste always trumps price.

Love this coffee but...
Use to drink this with a drip coffee maker and glad to see it's now available as a K-Cup.
