By Marion the mail ladyfrom Queens NYProsConsBest UsesComments about Original K-Cup:I am a big coffee drinker of a well known franchise coffee house but recently bought Nantucket on sale and while visiting relatives,I tried the 8 o'clock coffee and between these two I believe will replace the Kcup coffee I used to drink. Since now I found a replacement I have to figure out what is cheaper for me and my husband.Once I do, I will let you know. Was this a gift?:NoComment on this review2/14/2013(1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) 1.0Not the same old Eight O'Clock AND...... By Dr Texfrom Dallas, TXSee all my reviews ProsConsStrength Varies By BatchBest UsesWhen there's nothing elseComments about Original K-Cup:As one can tell but the reviews of those who grew up with this coffee, it is not the same, nor has it been in many years. My grandparents drank this religiously, so this is what I grew up with and it is certainly not the same. Also, it is obvious that the strength varies by batch when you have people who love a strong coffee saying this is "too strong" and others who love a strong coffee saying that it's "too weak".I've had some that were ridiculously bitter and others that seemed to be more like food coloring for the water than actual coffee. Not sure what the issue is, but I cannot recommend it.Comment on this review1/8/2013 2.0Bit too strong By Popcornfrom Johnstown, PAComments about Original K-Cup:I like rather strong coffee, but this one is a bit too strong for me. I'd place this one under the category 'Bold.' It was also a bit bitter and didn't have a well-balanced flavor. I also didn't taste the sweet and fruity flavor it was supposed to have.Comment on this review12/29/2012 2.0Not the Eight O'Clock of my youth By Skook Coffee Drinkerfrom Pottsville, PAComments about Original K-Cup:Our family drank only Eight O'clock, ground at the A&P in our town until it closed in the mid 70's. I was happy when it became available in other markets in the early 80's and I continued to enjoy it until about 5 years ago when the taste really dropped off. First I thought it was just a bad bag, then another, then why bother. The K cup taste is an improvement over the recent years, but there are many better tasting coffees available. Taste always trumps price.Comment on this review12/11/2012 5.0Love this coffee but... Fixed a K-Cup and the whole house was filled with that same smell. The flavor is like none other in fact my mother has drank a few cups with me.Comment on this review10/28/2012 5.0Finally an old favorite "K-Cupperized" By CoffeeCrazyinNYfrom Schenectady, NYComments about Original K-Cup:My husband will not drink anything BUT Eight O-Clock and grinds his own beans. I drink Nantucket Blend only because I couldn't get the right touch for the My K-Cup with the Eight O'Clock. Problem solved!! My husband is thrilled and so am I. The flavor is identical to a fresh brewed pot. My only question is what took so long? This is a major player in my Cafe Express Club.Comment on this review10/21/2012 5.0Love it, not fancy, a great cup of joe! No disappointments at all.Comment on this review10/15/2012 5.0Great coffee By Gigi Jfrom Chicago, ILProsConsBest UsesAnytime useComments about Original K-Cup:These are my favorite K Cup. I was hesitant to get a Keurig because it seemed the K Cup market was for specialty coffees. I was so excited to see the Eight O'clock coffee. This is my favorite coffee to brew in a regular coffee machine. To see that they have K Cups is great! Tastes exactly how it should. So glad these came along.Comment on this review10/12/2012(2 of 2 customers found this review helpful) 5.0The Best Cup of Coffee Ever!
