The Italian Roast is dark, strong, and richly aromatic. The flavor holds up well on the largest brew setting (10 oz. on my brewer), even with some cream added. My husband, who doesn't like dark roasts, said "It tastes like tar," so if you don't care for bold flavors, this probably isn't the k-cup for you. My only gripe is the price--at my local store, it's around two dollars more per box than other brands, and even here it's a bit more--sometimes substantially more, depending on the current deals/sales. But the flavor really is comparable to what one might receive at a true coffee shop, so I will keep buying.
