Product Details Return to Top Tasting Notes Round, smooth, and aromatic, the very definition of an American house-style coffee. Our Blend is a great way to introduce friends to Green Mountain Coffee®. "Great coffee, plain and simple." – Lindsey Bolger, Director of Coffee Sourcing and Relationships "Highly accessible — enjoyed by many. You can get there from here!" – Don Holly, Director of Roasting and Quality Rating: 87 Points (out of 100)Soft notes of nut and baking spice with a suggestion of dusk flowers in the aroma, deepening and complicating in the cup. Quiet but rich acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. In the finish flavor fades rather quickly toward a mild astringency. — Ken Davids, CoffeeReview.com, October 2010 About Green Mountain Coffee® A great tasting cup of coffee can give you a whole new perspective. It's a moment to pause, reflect, and reprioritize. That moment is what inspires us to make coffee that benefits everyone it touches. From carefully sourcing and roasting the highest quality beans, to supporting small farms and protecting the environment, we focus on what's important. That's why we at Green Mountain Coffee® believe a good cup of coffee can change your day... but a great cup of coffee can help change the world. Notes From Origin Our Blend often has Guatemalan coffee in it. While the Guatemalan coffee we buy may come from different parts of Guatemala, there are 6 major coffee regions in Guatemala: Highland Huehue, Rainforest Cobán, New Oriente, Fraijanes Plateau, Acatenango Valley, Volcanic San Marcos, and Traditional Atitlan. Anacafé, the Guatemalan National Coffee Association, uses these names, or appellations, to help promote Guatemalan coffee and all its unique characteristics.

GRND Our Blend:We have liked this coffee for several years as probably the best value high quality blend available. I've been grinding my own beans and drinking high quality coffees on both the West and East coasts since the late 1960s. For years, I drank Jamaica Blue Mountain almost exclusively, and have talked coffee and 'cupped' with coffee professionals over the years. Some reviewers have called it "weak" - which seems to me to reflect confusion between the strength of the brew and the darkness of the roast.Strength of brew depends entirely on the amount of coffee used on a per cup basis. The darkness of the roast affects the flavor, not the strength, of the brew.Although true coffee connoisseurs and professionals have always preferred a light roast, especially for the highest quality coffees such as Kona or Jamaica Blue Mountain, over the past few decades, the American palate has shifted to darker and darker roasts. The Starbucks/Peets (both of whom are responsible for the mass merchandising of dark roasts). effect. If you like Starbucks or Peets typical roasts, you won't like this.On the other hand, if you like a mild Jamaica Blue Mountain or Kona, you will probably find this an enjoyable everyday cup of coffee. The only reason I don't give this blend 5 stars is that it seems to have slipped a little over the past year or so, perhaps as costs have increased or beans that have been used in the blend become unavailable.Comment on this review4/23/2011(0 of 1 customers found this review helpful) 3.0A Disappointment By Vermont Coffee Loverfrom Northeast KingdomAbout Me Coffee ConnoisseurProsConsBest UsesComments about Green Mountain Coffee 12oz. GRND Our Blend:I love most of the GM coffees but this one was a disappointment. Not strong enough for me and just a lack of body. Definitely tastes like a house blend and nothing distinguishing about it. The first disappointment I've had after using many GMC coffees. I think if you like weaker coffees this might be a good choice.Comment on this review4/5/2011(1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) 5.0It has replaced Kona in our home By TDfrom Cupertino, CAAbout Me FoodieProsBalanced AcidityNot BitterSmooth TasteConsBest UsesFrench PressComments about Green Mountain Coffee 12oz. I didn't expect much but after reading the coffee reviews in Cooks Illustrated Magazine I thought I would give it a try. I have to agree with their consensus.
