This is predominately an American coffee, and perhaps that’s why the flavors come together so harmoniously. It’s like subtle shades of the same palette (or palate, if you choose) with complementary flavor notes that don’t compete for attention. Typical of a breakfast blend, it’s a lighter roast; however, it doesn't have alarmingly bright, teeth-tingling acidity.

A great coffee for those who care
I was introduced to GMCR products while attending graduate school and, as a retired Navy Corpsman and now as an environmental biologist, am very pleased with the House Blend. A great coffee to get the eyes open in the morning, as well as opening eyes to the needs of our planet. This coffee is my first choice to give for holiday and birthday presents.

Blind assessment: Rich, sweet-toned, toasty aroma with soft hints of nut and cinnamon. Medium to full body with a delicately soft mouthfeel. Quite complex in the cup: toast, cedar, chocolate, raisin and flowers. The roasty dark chocolate persists into a rich, simple finish.
