I am (or was) a Kenya AA coffee addict. I tried 12 different K cups when I bought my K-cup brewer and the only one that caught my attention was Newman's Special Blend Bold. Since then, I have been drinking this exclusively - my (certified organic/fair trade) Kenya AA is taking a back seat for now. My brewer has the 'My K-cup' reusable filter option, where I can put my own freshly ground Kenya AA coffee in the brewer - which I've only done once - and now I seem to prefer Newman's over my 14 year favorite. Now my bean grinder sits idly by while I brew my new love - Newman's Special Blend Bold K-cups.

Somebody over at the Newman's sure knows what they're doing. This coffee is the smoothest, most aromatic, satisfying coffee I've ever tasted. We burr grind and french press to extract every bit of freshness. It's a luxury to sip any time of the day.

Everyone loves my coffee, I serve it with Coffeemate French Vanilla Fat Free. Stong and bold, tastes exactly what coffee should taste like. Not watery, smooth, The only coffee I buy.

In the tasting notes it says it is a mix of medium and dark blends, and it stands up to anything you can throw at it. That may be due to the lack of aroma right out of the bag and the heavy taste in the cup. After all, you can't kill what is missing, and this coffee lacks aroma, and subtleties of flavor.

It's true that it isn't bitter or so strong it overwhelms or leaves a bitter aftertaste, but it may leave you wondering what you missed after you had your morning coffee.

If you want a hearty waker-upper and aren't too fussy otherwise, this could be the coffee for you.

I have tried most of the k-cups, this one out stands them all for my taste. After drinking this coffee I can hardly stand the coffee at work. I am threatening to buy a Keurig coffee maker just so I can have this at work.

After reading all the great reviews I expected something smooth, not bitter, bold and full bodied. It's good, but not all that. In fact, I didn't find it any better than a popular store brand coffee. Everybody's taste is different, so don't let my comment stop you from trying it. You might like it.

Newman's Special Blend has a smooth, never bitter taste. You can't over sweeten or cream it because it is wonderful however you fix it. I get so many request for Newman's Organic Own Coffee.

I've spent a lifetime looking for the perfect coffee - finally found it in Newman's Special Blend. Full bodied, smooth, no acidity to bother my stomach later, an aroma and taste to die for. I don't even have the words to explain how perfect this coffee is, but it has absolutely spoiled me for any other.

I use the K-Cups and it's fantastic. It's dark so it's my kind of coffee. I served this to friends who wouldn't order dark coffee if their lives depended on it and they ALL loved it! I recommend this on a rainy dark night with your dog laying by your feet. It's very comforting!
