A sunny day on the Savanna! The adventure begins the moment you release its distinctive jasmine and coffee-flower fragrance. Our Fair Trade Kenyan fairly bursts with big, grapefruit-toned brightness and black raspberry and burgundy flavors. Look for notes of brown sugar, bergamot and black tea in its long, rewarding finish.
Rating: 92 Points (out of 100)Delicately complex aroma of flowers, tangerine and honey. In the cup, smooth mouthfeel, balanced, richly floral-toned acidity, and elegant notes of orange, lemon and yes, more flowers. Finishes cleanly with the flavor nuances lingering softly.— Kenneth Davids, CoffeeReview.com, August 2009
A great tasting cup of coffee can give you a whole new perspective. It's a moment to pause, reflect, and reprioritize. That moment is what inspires us to make coffee that benefits everyone it touches. From carefully sourcing and roasting the highest quality beans, to supporting small farms and protecting the environment, we focus on what's important.
That's why we at Green Mountain Coffee® believe a good cup of coffee can change your day... but a great cup of coffee can help change the world.
While Kenyan coffee has long been one of the most sought after origins in the world, rules within the Kenyan auction system made it impossible to achieve the transparency that Fair Trade Certification requires. Those rules were relaxed only months ago, and now the very first of what we hope will be a great many Fair Trade Certified™ Kenyan coffees has reached our shores.
The Rumukia Farmers Cooperative Society is one of those newly-certified grower groups. Situated in the Nyeri district, among the rich, red, volcanic foothills of Mt. Kenya in eastern Kenya, the region enjoys a unique microclimate — a temperate zone with regular, seasonal rainfall.
Even before being certified, the cooperative organized "field days" to train its members in agricultural best practices, and offered credit services for education and medical emergencies. The cooperative is currently working to upgrade its drying tables, and improve its road network so that farmers can deliver coffee to the mills more efficiently.

Best coffee I've ever had

Comments about Green Mountain Coffee 10oz GRND FT Kenyan Hlnd Coop:
At the age of 66 I've discovered the best coffee ever. I can't believe how good this is. This is now our exclusive coffee at home. I'm afraid I don't understand all the coffee adjectives but this is just great stuff.I wish it were available in K-Cups so I could have it at work, too.We make it 2 ways: (1) percolator (2) vacuum. Either way it comes out perfect every pot.We make it by the pot, and use it over 3 or 4 days. It never gets bitter or loses its yumminess. If anything it gets better.Just the perfect coffee in my book.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

What a difference GM coffee makes!I've been having difficulty getting the GM flavors/types that I wanted in the grocery store and when I ran out of my previous GM caffeinated coffee, I bought some other east coast brand...just NOT the same! I finally finished the other brand and this morning made my mix of 1/3 caf GM Kenyan Highlands & 2/3 decaf GM Columbian...what a wonderful full bodied flavor! I could immediately tell what I've been missing all these weeks with the old washed out non-GM brand. I will no longer try to substitute other store available brands, but will ONLY come here for my coffee needs now. :)

Best single-origin bar one
About Me Caffeine Addict
I've tried all the non-blended coffee beans on the site. This one is the best, in my opinion, outside of blue mountain (which I am fortunate enough to get direct from a relative, and therefore, wouldn't buy here as a rule). I've had mixed results with the consistency of coffee on this site, but again, kenya seems to have escaped that problem so far (been a member about two years)

I make this coffee at home in an autodrip maker. Nothing special, right? That's just it. You don't need to do anything special to have a great tasting cup of coffee with this one! If you just want a really great cup of coffee, try this one. I would be very surprised if you were disappointed. The flavor is simply outstanding!

It's been a long, long time since I had a cup of coffee this good. The body was just slightly weak, but I probably didn't make it strong enough. The fruity notes and acidity were just wonderful. I detected a slight earthy taste at first but that quickly passed and all sensations from then on were positive. My mouth is still tingling from the very pleasant aftertaste. This is a COFFEE lover's coffee...definitely not for espresso drinkers.

What's all the hype about?
By Jim the Coffee Fanatic

I tried this because of all the great reviews, but I can't see what all the fuss was about. The aroma was very pleasing, but the coffee is too acidic and the roast too light - barely drinkable.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My New Favorite
from Fredericksburg, Virginia
I start off my day at the office with this great tasting coffee. It just doesn't get any better than this. Have been purchasing Kona beans direct from the Islands but it just cost too much to drink everyday. I have also been brewing Kenya AA for many years but this coffee beats them both hands down.

Some of the best Kenyan available...
from Port Orchard, WA
This is one of the nicest Kenyan coffees I have had outside of Kenya. Very nice mouth-feel, delicate, fruity flavour with lots of nice high notes. Kenyan is my favourite and this continues to please.
