Tasting Notes

This coffee boasts a distinct brightness in the forefront, yet it is well balanced throughout. The bitter chocolate flavor is calmed by sweet caramel undertones and finishes with a lingering astringency. This coffee is friendly enough to drink black but just as friendly with a touch of milk and sweetener.

Rating: 85 Points (out of 100)
Simple, sweet-toned aroma with subtle hints of caramel and toast. Soft flavor, with caramel notes continuing and a suggestion of nuttiness. A medium bodied cup, with a slight roughness in mouthfeel, and in the cocoa-like finish.

Comments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys House Blend Decaf:

I can't recommend buying these K-Cups for the foreseeable future. I hate to say it. I'm a fan of Tully's coffee. I've enjoyed gallons of Tully's House blend at their shops over the years. The French Roast and French Roast Decaf K-cups I bought were fine. But I've tried three K-Cups cups from this package and the coffee had a horrible chemical taste that made it undrinkable.

Since Green Mountain doesn't allow returns or refunds, there's no way for me to say if this was a bad box, a bad batch or if the House Blend Decaf has just become a truly inferior blend. I kind of doubt the latter. But I can't recommend that anyone buy these K-Cups any time soon. K-Cups aren't cheap and I've thrown away a whole box. Save your money. Buy something else.

Comments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys House Blend Decaf:

Found this by accident and really happy I did. While waiting for the big guys to come out with Keurig cups and decaf Italian Roast, I discovered Tully's decaf and am now hooked. Usually use the middle size cup for more flavor on the Keurig. I tried their French Roast decaf and did not like that at all, but this one is a winner. Better by far than the flowering tasting Pike's decaf roast that someone else makes.

Comments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys House Blend Decaf:

About 3/4 of the box had cups that spilled grounds into the cup and made a mess of the Keurig Machine. The resulting coffee was bitter and had a "burnt rubber" smell. Apparently the glue holding the foil lids is not good or somehow the lids were not up to normal Keurig Standards.

The few K-cups that worked properly resulted in a pretty good cup of decaf, but I wouldn't chance buying again.

Comments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys House Blend Decaf:

I enjoy a cup of coffee at night before bedtime but it was hard finding a good cup of coffee that was decaffeinated. I've tried a variety of decaf K-cups and this is my favorite by far!! It tastes great and is very smooth. It's also soothing like a nice cup of hot chocolate on a cold Winter's day. Tully's Decaf House Blend tastes great paired with dessert as well! Strangely, I don't care for this as much during the day (I normally drink Newman's Own Special Blend)... it doesn't seem to have the same flavor. I've no idea why (it's obviously a mental thing) but it's my 'go to' decaf coffee before bed and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend trying it if you're a night time coffee drinker like me. =)

This is really good coffee -

Comments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys House Blend Decaf:

I am not a real coffee drinker (my husband is the coffee lover in the family) - I mostly drink coffee with flavoring as a dessert in the evening - I also only drink decaf as caffeine will keep me up for 6 hours. I wanted something that had some flavor to it. I decided to try this based on the reviews. Some coffees are watery but this one is not. It has substantial flavor and body. I don't even need much cream or sugar in it because it really does taste good. If you really like coffee you should love this. I was getting the dunkin K cups but they just don't taste the same as when you get it from the store - so this will take the place of the dunkin decaf k cups I was getting (plus the cost is way better also). If you like coffee and like good taste you should really enjoy this. I highly recommend this.

                Problems with K-Cup seals

                By Claire's Mom needs De-Caf

Comments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys House Blend Decaf:

I need to comment on the K-cup construction - the seals on about 50% of the last batch have blown out causing a mess in the Kuerig machine as well as spewing grounds into the coffee just prepared. Very annoying! Please - quality control pay attention. I have not had this happen with any other type of K-cup.

After sampling over 10 K Cup Decafs, there was only 1 other brand (Caribou Sumatra DeCaf) that didn't leave me with the thin or watery mouthfeel. And yeah it's good but....
then I discovered T's House Decaf - tastes like coffee should taste. Can't wait to try their French Roast D. Tully's has discovered how to bring quality coffee to K-Cups

This one smells bad, folks. That's all I can say. The flavor was okay, kind of on the edgy/acidic side but not too bad, but the aroma just kept me from drinking it. Sorry, but not for me with so many GOOD decaf's out there.
