Product Details Return to Top Tasting Notes True to a traditional French Roast, this full bodied coffee reveals deep roasted aromas, and smoky flavors reminiscent of a quaint Parisian café. The sophisticated finish highlights the coffee’s sweet side and begs to be shared with a rich and chocolatey pastry. Rating: 86 Points (out of 100)Extreme dark roast yields intense charred wood notes in aroma and flavor. Subtler hints of baker?s chocolate, fresh chopped wood and smokiness also emerge. Roastiness continues in the finish with hints of cocoa. – Kenneth Davids, CoffeeReview.com, January 2009 About Tully's® Some professionals need to approach their jobs slowly and with a great deal of care. Like tightrope walkers. Or brain surgeons. Or tattoo artists. At Tully's®, the same holds true for creating great coffee. It takes a lot of time and patience, which is why we slow roast our coffee beans to gently coax out the complex flavors and aromas. With roots in the Pacific Northwest, where coffee is a way of life, we take our time in roasting and in training each master roaster in our artisanal approach. From the aroma to the full-bodied flavor, you can taste the time taken in every satisfying cup of Tully’s. Now we invite you to take your time discovering it.

By Greatovenmittfrom Wilmington,DEComments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys French Roast:After looking for a BOLD, Dark, Aromatic coffee, I have settled on Tully's French Roast. It was the best for Taste, Strength & Aroma. (I had tried Jet Fuel, Black Tiger, Dark Magic, Tully's Italian Roast, Double Black Diamond, Green Mountain French Roast, & GM Sumatran but none were as Bold or aromatic.)Comment on this review4/14/2013 5.0As good as higher priced French Roast By Smurfiefrom Buckeye, AZAbout Me Coffee ConnoisseurProsAttractive Mouthfeel/BodyBalanced AcidityNot BitterPleasing AromaPleasing RoastSmooth TasteConsBest UsesSingle-Cup/PodsComments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys French Roast:I had previously been using the Barista blend French Roast and ran out of my coffee club delivered order. On a whim I looked for it at my local grocery store and found the Tully's and thought...oh well...until the next order of Barista blend, this will have to do. What a great surprise to find that this tasted almost exactly like the Barista. I immediately changed my coffee club order to Tullys French Roast. This coffee isn't for wimps who love a lighter taste. It's strong, full bodied, and extremely tasty.Comment on this review4/8/2012(0 of 2 customers found this review helpful) 1.0Horrible! By Rebekelfrom Charlotte, NCAbout Me Coffee ConnoisseurProsConsNot Enough FlavorUnbalanced Or Sharp AcidityBest UsesComments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys French Roast:I love full-bodied coffee. This one misses the mark. It is strong but tastes harsh with no flavor complexity. Worst I have tasted of dark roasts offered in K-cups.Comment on this review2/15/2012(2 of 2 customers found this review helpful) 5.0Great Coffee By Richfrom Stratford, CTProsAttractive Mouthfeel/BodyBalanced AcidityExceptional/Interesting FlavorNot BitterPleasing RoastSmooth TasteConsBest UsesSingle-Cup/PodsComments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys French Roast:I have tried a variety of bold, dark roast coffees and this is the absolute best to date. It is the only coffee that is strong and rich enough to satisfy my taste, without causing an acid reaction in my stomach or getting light headed from the caffeine. It really is a remarkable coffee and will likely become my main staple in the morning.Comment on this review1/25/2012(1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) 5.0Finally a good k-cup!! By Rickyfrom CanadaProsFlavourfulRichConsBest UsesComments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys French Roast:This was the k-cup that made me not regret my Keurig purchase. I was disappointed by the watery results I was getting from the other k-cups in the sample box that came with the machine. I was actually on the verge of returning the machine (although it did brew an excellent Celestial Seasonings herbal tea). Finally I tried this one and it delivered what I was really missing from all the others... a bold, flavourful cup of coffee, even when brewed at the 7.5 ounce size. It had good body and was not watery at all. This might become my morning coffee of choice.Comment on this review12/26/2011 1.0Tastes plain burnt By strixfrom Pittsburgh, PAAbout Me Coffee ConnoisseurProsConsBurntUnpleasant AftertasteUnpleasant FlavorBest UsesComments about Tully's Coffee K-Cup Tullys French Roast:This is not what French roast is supposed to be. It's very strong smelling when it brews. At first the taste is good then it leaves a watered down finish. I personally prefer Caribou's Mahogany or Obsidian much better.Comment on this reviewDisplaying reviews 1-10Back to topPrevious | Next »
