Mocha does not mean chocolate, folks!
About Me Coffee Aficionado
Comments about Timothy's Coffee Timothy's Mocha Java K-Cup®:
People--this is NOT a chocolate coffee. This is a region/type of bean. It is actually a sought after bean for those who know good coffee. Google it if you have questions.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

True Mocha Java
By Cuppa' Jane
from Harrisburg, PA
About Me Everyday Drinker
So happy to find a true mocha java blend in a k-cup! Good as a mid-day pick-me-up. Best black or with a splash of soy for just a hint of creaminess and sweetness without overpowering the bean, which can't stand up to much alteration (or dilution, put away the tall travel mug). Smooth but lacking the richness of Mayorga's MJ.

Where's the Mocha?
from Magnolia, DE
I ordered the Timothy's mocha java and the Cafe Escapes Cafe Mocha to try both. The Timothy's has no chocolate flavor and the Cafe Escapes tastes like hot chocolate. Mocha should taste like coffee with a medium hint of chocolate. Neither of these hit the mark for a mocha. Either add more chocolate to the Timothy's or add more coffee to the Cafe Escapes, but don't call these mocha.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My Favorite K-Cup!
By Coffee luvr

About Me Average Joe, Health Conscious
This coffee has a complex, interesting flavor that is unique for a medium roast and makes it my favorite of all the K cup varieties. Too bad some of the other reviewers didn't understand that Mocha in the name does not refer to chocolate, but to a type of coffee, because the low ratings were totally undeserved.

I have tried quite a few varieites, but this one is my favorite. It is not too bitter and tastes good.

Know your coffee!
For a couple of the previous contributors, Mocha Java has nothing to do with chocolate; Mocha indicates the region where it was grown. It's actually a very good middle-of-the-road coffee.

About Me Coffee Connoisseur
To be fair I have to rate this product also as I just rated Cafe Escapes Cafe Mocha and I purchased both to hedge my bets. The Timothy's Mocha Java is truly just a mild coffee with no mocha taste involved. I ordered both to ensure that we received one that would please the family. Went down in flames on both. One with no coffee taste - all cocoa instead and this one with no mocha or cocoa taste. Hoping some day to find one that truly is a mix of both which is what we are looking for. Hope our trial and error helps others when deciding which to purchase.
Merchant response: Thanks for your feedback. Mocha Java actually does not refer to a chocolate coffee blend but a popular coffee blend. Long ago in Al-Makha, a historic Yemeni seaport, Javanese coffee was combined, by mistake, with coffee from a more local, Northeast African origin. Timothy’s Mocha Java is a blend with the bright sweetness of Ethiopian beans and the hearty body of Indonesian beans.
Beautiful Mellow Flavor
from Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky
Mocha Java is one of my favorites. It has a mild chocolate undertone that doesn't overpower the great coffee taste. If you enjoy the medium blends, this one's a winner.

There is NO chocolate flavor at all. There isn't even any aroma! Very disappointed in this product. Now I know why there were no other comments...No smell, no taste, no comments..very bland.
