So I do consider myself a coffee connoisseur. I had had the Southern Pecan many years ago when I did temp work at a company in NY and I loved it. Recently I decided to invest in a Keurig and bought 2 boxes of the Southern Pecan, based on memories of good coffee at work...However, I am truly disappointed to find that it's not nearly as good as I remembered it (I actually do not believe that it's the same coffee albeit it is labeled the same). The flavor is very artificial tasting and quite frankly just plain old yucky! It's bad coffee no matter which way you say it. People who consider Yodels to be cake may like it!! If Southern Pecan coffee would have been around back then, it would have been the perfect compliment to those pies and pastries. Usually other flavored coffees through Green Mountain have a bit of sweetness associated with the flavoring, but with the Southern Pecan, it was overwhelming. It smelled wonderful as it was brewing, but upon first taste it was as if I'd already added a couple spoonfuls of sugar to the cup. I had to brew a darker cup of coffee and mix it with this in order to bring it to a palatable level.
