Our Kenyan is fruity and winey, with medium to heavy body and a rich blackberry finish. From the slopes of Mt. Kenya, through the Rift Valley, to the shores of Lake Victoria, the Kenyan coffee farmers patiently nurture coffee trees that produce some of the world's best coffee beans. The finest beans, graded AA, are sold at weekly auctions run by the Coffee Board of Kenya.
A great tasting cup of coffee can give you a whole new perspective. It's a moment to pause, reflect, and reprioritize. That moment is what inspires us to make coffee that benefits everyone it touches. From carefully sourcing and roasting the highest quality beans, to supporting small farms and protecting the environment, we focus on what's important.
That's why we at Green Mountain Coffee® believe a good cup of coffee can change your day... but a great cup of coffee can help change the world.
From the slopes of Mt. Kenya through the Rift Valley to the shores of Lake Victoria, the Kenyan coffee farmers patiently nurture coffee trees that produce some of the world’s best coffee beans. These farmers, most of whom own small plantations of less than 4.5 hectares, pick only the ripe coffee cherries in a series of seven pickings to ensure excellent quality. The finest beans, graded AA, are sold at weekly auctions run by the Coffee Board of Kenya... nothing but the best price for the best coffee ensures these growers get what they deserve, and they deserve the best.
Most coffee professionals will cite Kenya as one of their top three origins, and more than any other origin; many will list it as their favorite. This is for many reasons: carefully selected cultivars, meticulous growing and processing practices, and a unique system of trade based on auctions managed by the central government that inherently rewards high quality with high prices.
If Antigua coffee is the high-altitude coffee’s Mecca in terms of bright, floral and spirited coffees, Kenya is its equal - or better - by way of its sophistication. Kenya has a manicured and polished personality that is regal, royal - even highly cultured - yet at the same time you sense a barely tamed wildness.

Other k-cup varieties just pale in comparison. Probably because I prefer coffee from Africa which tends to be sweet, aromatic and very flavorful. Its aroma fills me with bliss and brings me images of summer meadows and freshly picked wildflowers and berries . I always have a bag or two of this coffee as well, in case I run out of the k-cups or want to make a present to someone who enjoys coffee.Unfortunately African coffee is rather underrepresented around here, even though, in my opinion, it tastes superior to those coming from other continents. And knowing that my preference for this coffee helps small coffee farms in Africa makes me feel good too.

Love this coffee!
I cannot wait to get up in the morning for this fine cup of coffee. I have several different varieties to choose from, but this is my "go to" each and every morning. I love it!

This coffee is a nearly perfect foil for cream and sugar. Some might find it boring, but it is smooth and easy to drink, smells wonderful brewing from the Keurig, and doesn't bother my stomach. I like to try different coffees, but I come back to this one when I just want a good cup of joe. It is staying in the auto-ship rotation.
Bold but Not Bitter

About Me Average Joe, I Like My Morning Coffee
This is the first "bold" coffee I have tried that wasn't a little bitter in the regular cup size. I also like Newman's Own Extra Bold but have to make a large (travel) cup. The Kenyan AA has all the richness and full-body but is delightfully smooth and enjoyed any time of day. The taste comes through whether you drink it black or with cream and sugar. It is part of my coffee club from now on!
Not for larger cup sizes

About Me Coffee Connoisseur
I usually brew my coffee in the 10oz size, and most coffees I buy work well for that. This one does not. I'll be brewing this in the 6oz size to finish this box.

my afternoon cup

The Kenyan is my perfect afternoon cup of coffee. Not bitter, very flavorful. I am not looking for a "jolt" in the afternoon to wake me up, but rather a sophisticated last cup of the day.
Another new one for me. Love it

tried this for the first time and really like it. I switch between this one and sumatran reserve and get the taste and aroma of both areas.

Kenyan AA Extra Bold is a perfect "wake me up" coffee. It has enough coffee flavor (my one complaint about k-cups is weaker coffee than brewed) without the bitterness of the dark roasts. After much searching I am very happy with it. Hopefully it will not be discontinued like the Kona coffee it replaced in my morning routine.
