Ah ... espresso. Alchemy in a cup, and the very essence of coffee. A properly prepared espresso is a tazza of bittersweet liqueur: thick, rich and languid on the tongue, topped with a dense layer of copper-colored crema — the hallmark of an expertly crafted cup.
Rating: 86 Points (out of 100) Simple, roasty aroma, with smoke, toast, butter, cedar, a hint of bananaish fruit. In the cup heavily astringent but rich and sweet-toned with gently scorched cedar and dark chocolate notes and a surprising hint of night flowers. The rich sweetness dominates the astringency in the finish.– Ken Davids, CoffeeReview.com, March 2008
A great tasting cup of coffee can give you a whole new perspective. It's a moment to pause, reflect, and reprioritize. That moment is what inspires us to make coffee that benefits everyone it touches. From carefully sourcing and roasting the highest quality beans, to supporting small farms and protecting the environment, we focus on what's important.
That's why we at Green Mountain Coffee® believe a good cup of coffee can change your day... but a great cup of coffee can help change the world.

Nothing Else Like It!

Comments about Green Mountain Coffee 12oz Dark Magic Espresso Blend:
My husband and I make a full pot of this coffee every day. We make it strong and add foamed milk for a latte-type cup. We've tried many other types of coffee that were supposed to duplicate the taste of Dark Magic, but all fell short. Friends and family also love this coffee when we have family dinners together! Please don't ever stop making this in whole bean!!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Drink it black--its GREAT!

If you like to drink black coffee I recomend this. If you're going to make a mocha or put loads of sugar in cream in your coffee buy something cheap (you're just masking the flavor with that stuff). Best black coffee I've ever had.

Need a Reason to Buy a Keurig?
By Robyn Jane

If you need an excuse to buy a Keurig system, Dark Magic is the one you've been waiting for. I love a decent dark roast, and I enjoy espresso. Dark Magic is a well-balanced blend of the two. There are several coffee bars at my college; I go out of my way to the one that serves Dark Mountain. My only complaint about it is the same complaint I have about all of the single cup pods, regardless of brand: they generate a LOT of waste! Still, with the My-KCup accessory and buying in bulk, I've pretty much eliminated that problem. And at school? Their Dark Magic is brewed in a conventional commercial coffee brewer. It tastes the same as the individual K-Cups.

Bring back GM Organic FT Espresso Roast
About Me Coffee Connoisseur, Foodie, Health Conscious, Socially/Environmentally Conscious
I bought GM organic Espresso Roast for many years and used it in my Italian stovetop espresso maker which makes wonderful espresso. Since GM has discontinued this product, I have switched to Dark Magic Espresso, which has good body, but is way too acidic for me. I will be looking for an organic, fair trade alternative without the acidity.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I recomended this coffee too a washington state counsil man at a public event and now its one of his favorite coffees!

About Me Foodie
I tried this as a replacement for GM organic espresso, which was a sweet, complex, "city roast" that I found ideal as an espresso. Dark Magic is not as good but it is a good compromise. It is darker and more generic in flavor. Think [@] but not as over-roasted. It is also a good bargain since I can purchase it at my local market for slightly less than the subscription price on the GM site.

BETTER THAN [*]!
from New Jersey/Michigan - USA
About Me Average Joe, Student
This coffee is literally the God's gift to mankind. It's so good it will make your face melt off, and you'll be standing there with a melted face in your hands - but at least you still have your delicious coffee. When I was in college, I drank this exclusively and was able to power through many an all nighter. I love this coffee with an undying passion. If it were a woman, I'd marry it. I'm surprised a 50 foot sculpture has not been erected in its honor. This coffee makes the world go 'round.
